To Heal or not to Heal...
What is the true scope behind the Healers role.
Healers are the more passive side of role playing storylines. A healer is usually light aligned, and usually has the job of healing... (Duh), Delivering babies, regeneration, and if they are very elite, ressurection (Though usually reserved for a priest). A healer is one who has some serious issues, or wants a more simple and less used role in RPing. Healers in role playing very often show that in real life, they either have troubles against themselves, and wish that others don't have to have pain like they do, or that they have things so good that they want to share it with others, and do a passive healing role. Usually one of the extremes. It sounds sorta down, but it's the most psychicatric approach.

The opposite of a light healer, of course, is a dark healer. A dark healer is one who is more aligned with the side of evil, but still heals, usually helping out thier own side. When it comes to deliveries and ressurections, they usually miscarriage "The chosen one" who would destroy them, or at least attempt to. And when ressurecting, usually for their own greed for zombies or the such. While still a passive role, it is a bit darker. This is usually taken, in real life, as a form of escape from the normal. As if this person is so normal and alike the rest of the world that they have to do something to deny it and get away from it. It's good to be original, and though this is an extreme way of doing it, it makes role playing interesting for those who like to fight, and is still a way to get away from that sort of stress of life.

Healing in conclusion, is a passive way to effect the body. It is usually called, (In Magick), "Divination." Don't confuse a healer to do any of the following which is the job of a Priest: Cursing, Un-Cursing, Vamping or Un-Vamping. These aren't the jobs of healers.
