You cannot be the main character from any game or storyline, the main character from any movie or any sort of setting known in any public place. It is not for you to decide who deserves, gets to, or has the ability to play that character, and cannot appoint yourself or anyone else. But, you may play that character if EVERYONE in a private group allows you to, this is in a private group only, and mostly in private rooms. RPing as the main character will ruin the RP for others if there are multiple in public rooms, so keep it to Private storylines only.

Playing the characters relative who exists, a known father or brother or mother, etc. Or Role Playing with an item the is only accessible to the main character or their known family, like the master sword or the Triforce of Wisdom. By doing this you place yourself above other RPers, putting yourself in a higher position. But isn't quite as bad as the above, "Posing"

This goes a lot with 2nd degree posers, but is a bit worse. Types described in 2nd degree posing like relatives and main items, but those made up. Like trying to Role Play Zelda's Sister... She has NO SISTER... etc. This type of Poser is almost as bad as the above, "Posing"

3rd Degree

Playing a sub-character from a game or storyline. Like Talon or Mido. This envelops everything with a name that isn't just an "Extra" like the people in the shop who just walk around and have no name or part in the storyline. It also includes jobs that are main jobs, like a Curiousity Shop Owner. This isn't so bad, because not many people dispute over who gets to play these characters or positions, though it is still posing and not original.

A Person who can Role Play as a character awesomely, has outstanding knowledge of the character and his or her past and present, as well as the characters who interact with him or her. A 4th degree poser is one who would be thought of as "okay to pose" in a private room or a private storyline where the people of the group nominate him or her as the perfect person to RP that character in that storyline.

A Person who can Role Play as a character perfectly, has perfect knowledge of the character and his or her past and present, as well as the characters who interact with him or her. A 5th degree poser is one who would be thought of as the best person to Pose in all rooms, even public rooms. This 5th degree poser is one person nominated by the whole of RPers, to represent the character on a long term basis. Once this person is about, noone else may be a 5th degree poser for public use on that character. This person would have to interact with all characters and be flexible to every storyline.
