Well, a normal person would tell you that you have the right to deny, because they didn't get your consent. Let's take a look at what this means.. Consent: Agreement as to an action or decision. Agreement huh... So you have to agree on something. Some people take this "Consent" thing WAY too far. If someone attacks you in Role Playing, you can't just blow them off and say leave, or leave yourself. If someone were to come to you IRL and begin a conflict, you can't just ask them to leave. Now that we cleared that matter up... The first thing you should do is IM them and tell them straight up Out of Character: "If you fight me, you do it my way!" Then you tell them the type of RP and style, like... Descriptive Turn Based. Or maybe Dice WITH enhancers, or without enhancers... depending on whatever the hell you want. So far we covered one whole step for what you should do... Tell them your Terms. The attacked person always makes the terms. Now, this is only for fighting matches. This does not apply to a theft attempt, or an Assassin attempt, or a Capture attempt. All of these have their own set rules that ALL Hyrule Role Players must follow in order to keep good RPing up. - To the point, the first thing you do is IM the attacker and tell him YOUR terms. The second thing you do is turn on a Log so you log the whole fight. Third, fight him on your terms, and follow all the rules. Since you don't want to be attacked, watch him carefully. Don't worry about one or two misspellings, but if he starts doing multiple actions or using guns or something. If that sort of thing happens, keep on fighting until you kill him, but if he kills you, state that the match doesn't count due to his cheating, and either way you come out on top!!! Either way, at the end of the match, send the log into Hyrule RP for Sim Experience points. This will allow you to grow so you can purchase higher level items from the shops. |
